Family riding at the Burgess Hill Bike Ride in June

Here are details of a bike ride suited to the family both in distances and entry fees.

Burgess Hill Bike Ride

The 20th Burgess Hill Bike Ride will be held on Sunday, 10th June 2012 and will start and finish from Oakmeeds Community College in the town centre,  Burgess Hill.

Cyclists will be able to register to ride over distances of 10, 20 or 40 miles of glorious Mid Sussex countryside.  Once again half of the proceeds will go to St Peter & St James Hospice as the main beneficiary with the other 50% being distributed to other local charities by the event’s organisers. Whilst sponsorship is not mandatory,  the organisers do rely on events such as this to raise much needed funding for these vital local worthy charities.  The event is run jointly by the the Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath and District Round Table and Burgess Hill District Lions Clubs who hope that in this Olympic year the number of entries will be close again to the previous record of 900 riders.  Families, individuals, clubs and companies are all encouraged to enter and support and experience the atmosphere of this popular and successful  ride

There will be no increase in the entry fees this year  which are £10 for adults and £5 for children (aged 10-15) who must be accompanied by an adult.  Entrants can find full details and entry forms by visiting the official web-site at www.burgesshillbikeride.co.uk or email @burgesshillbikeride.co.uk
