Riders/Parents/Carers/Volunteers
This coming Saturday we will be running the 2nd (of 6) Go Ride Racing sessions at the track.
The format will be as follows;
Race 1: Time Trial – Under 8, Under 10, Under 12 – 1 Lap of Track
Race 2: Scratch Race – Under 8 – 2 laps, Under 10 – 4 laps, Under 12 – 6 laps
Race 3 : Points Race – Under 8 – 2 laps, Under 10 – 3 laps, Under 12 – 4 lap
Last time round I was not clear about the age categories and some riders were allocated to the wrong groups. I have consulted the British Cycling website and can confirm the following;
Youth E Under 8 born in 2008 or later
Until 31 December of year in which 8th birthday falls
Youth D Under 10 born in 2006 or 2007
From 1 January of year in which 9th birthday falls to 31 December of year in which 10th birthday falls
Youth C Under 12 born in 2004 or 2005
From 1 January of year in which 11th birthday falls to 31 December of year in which 12th birthday falls
The weather looks a bit changeable currently so please check the website 1st thing on Saturday morning as we will post (by 8am) if the session is on or not.
