PPYCC residential on the Downs [book this week]

Hi, if you wish to join our trip mountainbiking on the South Downs on the 26th and 27th June, with an overnight stay at Gumber Bothy, then you must have registered your interest with Emily O’Brien by this Sunday 30th May.

PPYCC Family Friendly Weekend Cycle Ride on the South Downs Way Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th June – BOOK YOUR PLACE NOW !!!! Following last year’s successful trip to Eastbourne, staying in Alfriston, we want to doa  family-friendly cycle ride westwards on the South Downs Way starting near Brighton on Saturday morning  and returning to Brighton Sunday afternoon. We will spend a night at Gumber Bothy camping barn on the way. You can unroll your sleeping bag in the barn (we have booked a big room) or if you prefer a bit of privacy and luxury you can bring your own tent!  Gumber Bothy map   Gumber FlyerAll members of family encouraged including those who don’t get out much! e.g. not-very-fit Mums like me, plus our 5 year old is doing it on a tag bike. The South Downs Way is mostly traffic free. What it will costThe camping barn/ campsite is £10 for adults and £5 for children. There will be an additional contribution towards cornflakes and stuff for breakfast, plus delivery of our stuff (there is no vehicle access to the bothy) – around £5 per person. You will also need your train fare home, or we could all chip in for a big lemon bus (!) How to reserve your place…Contact Emily BY SUNDAY 30TH MAY confirming how many adults and how many children will be coming.
