We hope your first week out of school is going well. We are mindful of not bombarding you with yet more Covid-19 email notifications beyond the deluge already hitting your inbox (so apologies for the earlier website notifications that were sent in error)! However we also know as parents how important it is to keep our children active and occupied while out of school.
Of interest to parents of younger children, British Cycling today launched a daily activity calendar to keep kids moving and help them to develop new cycling skills, as millions across Britain adjust to life out of school. This is aimed at younger children and is ideal for riders just starting out with PPYCC or younger siblings of existing members.
Some of the activity ideas from previous PPYCC website posts over the last few weeks have now been collected together on a new website page called Staying Active. This contains a range of ideas from British Cycling, Sport England, PPYCC and elsewhere to help our riders to keep active during this period. We will update this on an ongoing basis, please feel free to send us your own ideas for inclusion.
Have a great week and let’s hope the sunshine continues so we can all get outside for some daily activity!
