Review of the season-
We ran 70 saturday sessions over 35 weeks, with only 3 cancelled.
There have been weekly road rides enjoyed by members and parents.
We visited Cyclopark in Kent on 3 occasions including our Club Circuit Championships. These sessions were greatly enjoyed, we hope the opportunity will be offered to our club next year.
Our members took part in the South and London region omniums at all ages – U10/U12/U14/U16. Lukas Nerurkar was an U12 national qualifier and placed 6th nationally
In circuit racing-U10/U12/U14/U16-U12 saw us gain a regional champion Freddie Newman* and many members were riding at races locally, regionally and nationally.
In track racing- U10/U12/U16-U12 we have a regional champion Rahul Fortescue-Talwar, and again many of our members were racing locally and regionally.
We have 2 x British Schools Cycling Association hill climbing champions Zoe Algar* and Josh Golliker*.
We have a SE region Triathlete, Joseph Martin, who won the London SE interregional event.
This winter we are running Calshot velodrome sessions once a month, book on the club website, and roller/turbo training sessions begin on 21.11.15, and will be running twice a month until the beginning of the new season in March. We continue with our Sunday road rides and cycle-cross training takes place at Waterfall on Tuesday evenings from 18.30.
Thanks to all for the opportunity for being Chair, in my first full year I have really enjoyed my input into club, seeing the members development and working with our many volunteers.
