Saturday we will be running our Medieval festival. Involving activities such as jousting, archery, knights [male and female] parade and ‘poke the pig,’ all adapted specially for bicycles, it should be great fun. Upon arrival all knights will make a tabard to wear proudly for the jousting. Armed with a full size lance [or small water pistol] riders will charge towards each other in their individual lane, seperated only by barrier tape. Aim for your opponents tabard to win by making it wetter than your own. All materials for the tabard will be provided but for the knights parade we will be looking for the most courtly knight, male or female, to award a prize; to win the prize prior preparation and props are recommended. [If the weather is wet we will have to amend the programme]. Cycle helmets must still be worn.
