Preston Park Youth Duathlon – Highlights & Results
Thank you to all the competitors, families and supporters who joined us for the Preston Park Youth Duathlon 2025. What a fantastic morning of youth multisport at Preston Park! After a week’s delay due to Storm Amy, it was a relief to finally welcome everyone back to Brighton under much better conditions.
A Huge Well Done to Our Competitors
From first-timers to seasoned racers, every one of the 80 athletes gave it their all across the run–bike–run course. The mix of tarmac and grass made for exciting, technical racing, and the atmosphere around the velodrome was filled with support, determination and big smiles.

This event was entirely run by volunteers from PPYCC and Brighton Multisport, and it simply couldn’t happen without their time, energy and passion. Thank you to everyone who helped with setup, marshalling, timing, registration, transition and cheering throughout the day. In particular we’d like to make an extra big shout out to Simon Tamplin who turned up at 5am to stake out the course and got us ahead of the game with the course setup on the morning. Thanks Simon!

Charity Contribution
The family fun run at the end of the Duathlon morning raised £21, which organiser Paul Hedger has kindly donated to Young Lives vs Cancer. A small gesture that makes a meaningful difference – thank you to everyone who contributed.
