We’ve needed to purchase a new bike rack for our car this summer and still have our other one. It is a Saris Bones 2 bike rack, which will fit most hatchback style cars (see their website for compatibility).
It is in great condition and has done us an excellent job, transporting our bikes on long journeys without the need for adjustment, leaving us without any hassle. It takes us around 5 minutes to put on the car once set up correctly. We’ve only needed a new one in order to fit more bikes onto our car, not because of any product issues.
A new one can be found at £110 on Evans Cycles, but we’ll happily sell ours for £50. Saris confirm that it can carry bikes of up to 15kg each and it hasn’t scratched our car or our bike frames. It can fit a wide variety of frames too.
